GUEST 1 OVERVIEW: Eric Abetz (born 25 January 1958) is an Australian former politician who was a Senator for Tasmania from 1994 to 2022, representing the Liberal Party. He was the Minister for Employment and the Leader of the Government in the Senate in the Abbott government from 2013 to 2015. He previously also served as Special Minister of State in the Howard government from 2001 to 2006 and as Minister for Fisheries, Forestry and Conservation from 2006 to 2007.

GUEST 2 OVERVIEW: Steve Milloy is a recognised leader in the fight against junk science with more than 20 years of experience, and is credited with popularising the term “junk science". He is the founder and publisher of JunkScience.com, and an environmental and public health consultant. Mr Milloy is a biostatistician and securities lawyer who has also been a registered securities principal, investment fund manager, non-profit executive, coal company executive, and a print/web columnist on science and business issues. Mr Milloy served on the EPA transition team for the Trump administration.
