GUEST OVERVIEW: Shabnam Palesa Mohamed is a human rights activist, journalist and lawyer. Graduating with Dean’s Commendation in legal method, civil procedure, and criminal law, excelling in clinical law, Shabnam was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2003. She is a serving member of the Steering Committee of the World Council for Health and serves as CEO of Transformative Health Justice. Shabnam also co-convened the launch of the African Sovereignty Coalition and she is the executive director of Children's Health Defense Africa.
