Mark Latham & Jeff Grimshaw on The Chris Smith Show - 23 March 2023
GUEST 1 OVERVIEW: Mark Latham is an Australian politician and media commentator, currently serving as the leader of One Nation in the New South Wales Legislative Council. He previously served as the leader of the Australian Labor Party and leader of the opposition from December 2003 to January 2005, leading the party to defeat at the 2004 federal election. Latham became disillusioned with politics and retired in January 2005. After leaving politics, he published a memoir, The Latham Diaries, in which he attacked his former colleagues and condemned the state of political life in Australia. After leaving parliament, Latham became a prominent political and social commentator, and became known for his right-wing and socially conservative political views.
GUEST 2 OVERVIEW: Jeff Grimshaw was born in Blackburn and is an Australian and British Citizen, the son of a General Practitioner and a school teacher and one of five children. "I think my earliest memory is watching 'Star Wars' with my sister and Dad, I remember my Dad fell asleep in the cinema and started snoring. He worked way too hard." He grew up in the Ribble Valley and attended Westholme and Queen Elizabeths Grammar school in Blackburn. When he was twelve he had his first introduction to the political world when, with his Mother and siblings, he spent a day at Number Ten Downing Street with then Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher after winning a competition.
