Mathew received a B.S. in biochemistry and cellular biology from UCSD and a Ph.D. in geochemistry from UCLA in 2014 before joining the University of Alabama in 2016. His primary research interests are in early Earth evolution and the origin of life, impact cratering processes, mountain building, medial mineralogy, and reviewing scientific literature related to climate change.
