GUEST 1 OVERVIEW: Lauren Styles has worked in the financial services industry since 1999. In this time Lauren has worked in areas specialising in superannuation and life insurance. Lauren has over 20 years of experience between corporate and private practice, specialising in development of appropriate wealth protection strategies for employed and self-employed clients, with a focus on SMEs, equity transfer and key person insurance. Lauren is highly regarded in the industry for her product and technical knowledge, along with her skills in being able to find appropriate insurance solutions for clients with complicated circumstances. Lauren is also regarded highly for her ability to procure outcomes for claimants with difficult claims. Lauren holds a Diploma of Financial Advising from the Securities Institute. She has also guest lectured for financial planning students at Latrobe University, presented at industry conferences and been published in industry media. Lauren has been a finalist in the 2020 and 2021 IFA Excellence Awards 'Risk Adviser of the Year'.
GUEST 2 OVERVIEW: Dr Bella d’Abrera is the Director, Foundations of Western Civilisation Program at the Institute of Public Affairs. She has BA in History and Spanish from Monash University, an MA in Spanish from the University of St Andrews and a PhD in History from the University of Cambridge. She has written and illustrated a children’s book, is the author of The Tribunal of Zaragoza and Crypto-Judaism 1484-1515 and a trilogy on the English Reformation. She is currently on the Advisory Committee for the National Archives and is also member of ‘History Reclaimed’ a counter-offensive against “fake history” comprising a group of more than 40 senior UK and Anglosphere academics. Bella is a regular contributor to The Spectator Australia, the Herald Sun, the Daily Telegraph and The Australian., and appears regularly on Sky News.
