GUEST OVERVIEW: Dr. Larry Wu was CEO for a family office of a billion-dollar portfolio, mostly in real estate, before he founded UC Asset in 2015. Prior to his leadership at the family office, he served at Cisco Systems as a senior executive at its Greater China headquarters. He started his career with one of the largest technology conglomerates in China in the mid-1990s, working for the group's EVP. In 2000, he was recruited to work as a liaison officer at the Chinese Embassy to the US, with a mission to advocate trade and investment between the two nations. Following his term he became a free-lance consultant in 2004, advising US companies doing business in China. His clients are diverse, ranging from private equity giants to technology start-ups. Dr. Wu holds a Ph.D. in public policy from Renmin University and a B.S. in geophysics from University of Science and Technology of China.
