Isik Abla, Paul Fitzgerald & Elizabeth Gould on The Pelle Neroth Taylor Show - 19 April 2024
GUEST 1 OVERVIEW: Işık Abla was born in Istanbul, Turkey, and raised in a Muslim household. Throughout her life, she endured verbal and physical abuse, culminating in an extremely violent marriage to a Muslim man.
Despite the challenges, Işık earned a bachelor’s degree in literature and subsequently pursued an advanced business degree. She held high-ranking executive positions in major corporations in Turkey and traveled extensively throughout Europe.
In 1996, she fled to America to escape her abusive husband after he attempted to kill her. However, her struggles continued as she faced obstacles in restarting her career and encountered personal difficulties, leading to deep depression and suicidal thoughts.
On the brink of ending her life, Işık had a profound encounter with God. She surrendered her life to Jesus and experienced supernatural healing and redemption. From that moment, her life underwent a remarkable transformation for the better.
Feeling called to full-time ministry, Işık attended Ambassador’s Commission School of Ministry and later became an ordained minister. She pursued further studies in Biblical studies and leadership training at Yale and Harvard Universities.
Today, Işık's programs are broadcast in over 200 countries on six continents, reaching more than 700 million people in multiple languages. Her message of hope, love, and redemption resonates with audiences worldwide, particularly in the Muslim community. As a former Muslim herself, she possesses a unique understanding of the culture, language, and social norms, allowing her to authentically share the gospel of Jesus Christ with Muslims.
