GUEST OVERVIEW: Gigi Foster is a Professor of Economics at the University of NSW (UNSW) Business School. Prof. Gigi Foster has recently released a cost-benefit analysis (CBA) of lockdowns and border closures in Australia. Prof. Foster is co-author of the book, The Great Covid Panic: What Happened, Why, and What To Do Next. Prof. Foster holds a BA in Ethics, Politics and Economics from Yale University, and a PhD in Economics from the University of Maryland. She works in diverse fields including education, social influence, corruption, lab experiments, time use, behavioural economics and Australian policy.
