GUEST OVERVIEW: Dr Kees van der Pijl is a political scientist and a former Fellow of the Centre for Global Political Economy. He was lecturer at Amsterdam University from 1973 to 1999, professor at Sussex University from 2000 to 2012, emeritus till 2019 when he resigned from that title over the University's attempt to censor him regarding Israel. Dr van der Pijl is a well-known critic of the structure of the global political economy and the aims and objectives of the key players. His most recent books include Flight MH17, Ukraine and the New Cold War — Prism of Disaster (2018); and States of Emergency — Keeping the Global Population in Check (2021).
