GUEST OVERVIEW: David Truman has an honours degree in Russian Language and literature and Political Science, and teaches Russian history, literature and language, and Indonesian, at the University of the Third Age. He spent a year on postgrad exchange at Moscow State University during the Cold War in the late 1960s, and 30 years in as a policy adviser and ministerial speechwriter. Since the fall of the Soviet Union, he has visited Russia four more times totalling over three months and is impressed at Russia’s strident rejection of the Cultural Marxism which has marched through the institutions of the West. David is also an expert in Islamic history, scriptures and doctrines.
