Ryn is an internationally recognized political thinker who has served as professor of politics, chair of his department, and director of the Center for the Study of Statesmanship at the Catholic University of America. He was President of the Philadelphia Society, co-founder and President of the Academy of Philosophy and Letters and co-founder and Chairman of the National Humanities Institute. He is the author of many books and has for 35 years been co-editor of Humanitas.
