He worked formerly as an executive at Bitcoin.com, one of the most downloaded crypto apps in the world. In 2021, due to an arrest warrant iss­ued against him by the US Feder­al Southern District Court of New York, related to an alleged violation of the Emergency Econ­omic Powers Act, Chris spent 7 months in detention in Saudi Arabia before finally winning his extradition battle and moving to Russia.
