Brianna McKee and Michael Brown on the Dean Mackin Show - 1 August 2024
GUEST OVERVIEW: Brianna McKee is National Manager of the Institute of Public Affairs Generation Liberty program (pro-freedom on campus program) and is an IPA Research Fellow. Brianna has written recently about the declining birth rate in Australia, what it means for the nation and families, as well as what international experience on the topic can teach us. In addition Brianna McKee has written on the issue of family policies.
GUEST OVERVIEW: Michael Brown is an observational astronomer and associate professor at Monash University in Melbourne. He researchers how galaxies grow in
mass and form new stars over billions of years. He also studies active galactic nuclei - very luminous objects powered by the infall of matter towards blackholes - trying to understand why only some galaxies harbour these unusual objects. For his research he uses satellites and large ground-based telescopes, including the Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder located in the Western Australian desert.
