GUEST OVERVIEW: Alan Parker is a farming activist who hails from the Burdekin in North Queensland. He was head of the Burdekin District Cane Growers organisation and the Pioneer Cane Growers collective. A former sugar cane farmer himself, Alan has spent years fighting against large multinationals trying to undercut farmers and also against bad government policies that ultimately rob farmers of their livelihood.
